For the 19th time in a row, a team from the University of Bern took part in the renowned Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. The University of Bern was proudly represented by the team, consisting of Adeline Bättig, Jana Haller, Tess Hendricken, Martina Kuhn and Debora Lehmann.
After intensive preparation and hard work in the written phase, the Bernese team traveled to the pre-moots in London, Florence and Copenhagen in the oral phase, where they put their skills to the test against teams from all over the world. Finally, the Bernese Mooties made the journey to Vienna to present their arguments in four rounds.
This year, the University of Bern continued the success of its previous participation in the Vis Moot Court. The Memorandum for Respondent was awarded an Honorable Mention. This is remarkable, as fewer than 30 out of almost 400 briefs receive an award.
