Raphael is in the 2nd semester of his Master of Law. He is a member of the board of directors of the Debating Club of the University of Bern, with which he participates in debating competitions. In addition to his studies, he works as a paralegal in a law firm in Thun and, on a voluntary basis, in the legal consulting service of the student body of the University of Bern. The participation in the Willem C. Vis Moot Court is a unique opportunity for Raphael to apply the theoretical knowledge gained from his studies to a complex international case. He also looks forward to working in a team,gaining initial experience in international arbitration, and establishing new contacts with students around the world. In his leisure time, he enjoys traveling and playing sports.
Raphael befindet sich im 2. Semester seines Master of Law. Er engagiert sich als Vorstandsmitglied im Debattierclub der Universität Bern, mit dessen Club er an Debattierwettbewerben teilnimmt. Neben dem Studium arbeitet er als Paralegal in einer Anwaltskanzlei in Thun und ist ehrenamtlich als freiwilliger Mitarbeiter beim Rechtsberatungsdienst der Studierendenschaft der Universität Bern tätig. Die Teilnahme am Willem C. Vis Moot Court erachtet Raphael als eine einmalige Gelegenheit, das angeeignete Wissen aus dem Studium anhand eines komplexen internationalen Sachverhalts in einem Team praxisnah anzuwenden. Ausserdem freut er sich, erste Erfahrungen mit der internationalen Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit zu sammeln und dabei mit Studenten weltweit neue Kontakte zu knüpfen. In seiner Freizeit reist er gerne und treibt Sport.
